a month agoI booked through the Booking.com app during Hajj in Mecca, near the Grand Mosque (approximately one kilometer away). Despite the crowds, expensive taxis, and closed streets, I arrived at the reception dragging my suitcase. They readily informed me that the booking was fake and invalid, even though the request still appeared on the Booking.com app for a small fee. They refused to serve me and suggested I book outside the app for a significantly higher price, about three to four times the amount. It's worth noting that I've been using Booking.com for years and have never experienced a fake or invalid booking, nor have I ever encountered a hacked app. Booking.com's booking system is generally excellent.
